Bardot Brilliance- Vanity Fair Italia

After writing my Bardot inspiration post, I came across this editorial from Vanity Fair Italy (sorry, I couldn't find details from the shoot), in which the styling was all very Bardot-like.

Yet more proof of her influence and the relevance of this look today- stripes, kohl rimmed eyes and big bouncy hair- so chic!

Style Muse: Brigitte Bardot

I was inspired by Nicole's retro outfit in my last post, and began to look at pictures of old movie stars. One of my favourites has to be 60's siren Brigitte Bardot. I love her messy bed head hair and sultry pout.

I'm aware she is much more of a controversial figure nowadays, but I thought I would post these pictures any how as a reminder of the influence of icons such as Bardot, that can still be seen today. Plus she is just plain gorgeous! And is it just me or does she remind you of a cross between Lara Stone and model of the moment, Georgia May Jagger?!
