Sidney Williams in 'Sid in Venice'
photographed by Olivia Malone

Recently discovered this little Nymphette over on Lucy's blog Fashion me Now, where she was doing the rather dreamy job of starring in a short fashion fantasy film for Rodarte.

18 year old, California born Sidney Williams was discovered by Hedi Slimane at Coachelle festival when she was in the 8th grade.  From there she quickly became his muse and pretty much everyone else's it seems.  She is now signed to Next models and recently appeared in the Urban Outfitters lookbook 'Summer Blues' lensed by Gia Coppola.

The stunning series of photos above is just one collaboration from back in 2011between Sidney and photographer Olivia Malone.

Gold Rush

Elle Fanning in The Curve of Forgotten Things
by Todd Cole

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.  Everything in this film is beautiful; the clothes, the light, Elle. How is it possible to be that beautiful when you're only 13 years old?

Watch as the enchanting Elle Fanning pirouettes from room to room, in a range of equally mesmerising looks from the Rodarte SS11 collection.

Seventies Suburbia

Rodarte SS11 @ New York Fashion Week, September 2010

The more I look at this collection, the more I love it. The Mulleavy sisters have struck gold again with their collection for SS11 inspired by their native homeland of Northern California. The collection was awash with colours straight from 'seventies suburbia'; various shades of brown, gold and chartreuse and a wood grain pattern was printed on blouses, dresses and skirts throughout the collection calling to mind 70's wood panelling.

There were more retro inspired touches still the form collared blouses, high waisted trousers and skirts and vintage looking plaids.  Even the model's hair had been given the seventies touch- deeply parted to one side and secured with old-school barrettes. But by no means was this collection stuck in a time warp; peek-a-boo cut outs were seen on shoulders and torsos, and blouses were cropped short above high waisted skirts, giving us fleeting glimpses of skin.

My favourite dress of the night- Camilla Bell in Jason Wu.  Such an elegant gown without being too flashy like some of the others, and it fits her so well.

On another note, where were the Olsens?!  I was so looking forward to their outfits, but haven't seen any pictures of them yet.  Where they not there?  Comment below if you know.
