I saw these amazing and unusual rings by Turkish label Ottoman Hands on Topshop's blog recently which are now being stocked at a concession in the Oxford Circus store.

I and no doubt every other like-minded fashionista with a penchant for bohemian style statement jewellery, (judging by the fact that almost EVERY style is sold out on their website!) find the mix of semi-precious stones in unexpected shapes and cuts totally irresistible.

Prices from £38-£68 at Ottoman Hands.

Those of you who are regular visitors to the blog may remember that some time ago I showcased a few items of my own handmade jewellery that would soon be available to buy. Well after a very long delay, that time is finally here!

So please click along and visit my lovely new store Adventurous Eve Jewellery.  I am accepting payment by Paypal only at the moment as this seems to be the safest and easiest way of doing so, but if you have any questions or comments about the shop or any of the pieces please feel free to email me or leave me a comment.  Thank you!

from top to bottom; Flower Geode Ring, Golden Honeycomb Ring, Labradorite Rings, Galaxy Geode Ring all from Sarah Lewis Jewelry

Om nom nom nom!  I could just eat all these rings from jeweller, Sarah Lewis.  The textures and colours of the borosilicate glass, stones and silver that make up these gob-stopper sized beauties are just irresistable!  I'll take one for each finger, please.

I really tried to resist from posting these pictures, but I just kept seeing them everywhere and they are just so damn COOL (even The Vine think so apparently)  Jewellery brand, MANIAMANIA have certainly set the blogosphere all aflutter.  Bambi + amazing chunky jewellery + trippy 60's esque film stills = COOL.  It would be rude not to post them.

And then I read about their influences...and it just got even better!

"We are inspired stylistically by the genre of 60s and 70s experimental film and the experimentation & free thought expressed in those eras, as well as other times and places! We are interested in the people who inspire the artistic processes from all generations, whether it be Anita Pallinberg, David Bowie or Cleopatra. We like to translate the ethos of a time, a piece of literature, or a song into our pieces. We are also very inspired by geology, like the incredible mineral crystal formations that we use in our collections."
The look book/film on their website also has the same vibe.  Check out the amazingness here.

Alice is the new Black

Photobucket
Yes, I know what you're thinking, "Two Alice posts in the space of a week?!" But I think this is worth shouting about! I just discovered that jeweller Tom Binns, has been commissioned by Disney to make a a collection to coincide with the release of the film in March, adding to the Wonderland hype. Each piece will apparently be based upon a different character- The Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter and Alice among others. Prices will range from $50- $1000, so there should be a little something affordable enough for everyone. I am a Tom Binns admirer, and in particular of the skull pieces he did a little while back, so I will most definitely be looking to get my hands on some of this.
