Good girl gone Goth: Proenza Schouler Fall 10 NY

Wednesday Addams eat your heart out! Looks like the trend for the Dark and Dangerous is here to stay for AW10.

At Proenza Schouler in NY this week Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough sent girls down the runway that would give Wednesday Addams a run for her money, complete with dark lips and stacked platforms, reminiscent of the 'Creeper' style much-loved by Gothic types!

There was more than an element of good school-girl gone bad, with black and white varsity jackets that came trimmed with lurid green and purple fur collars, collared blouses and dresses, and flippy little minis in stripes and pleats that were worn over sheer black thigh high suspenders.

There was also graffiti style print that appeared throughout the collection printed on jeans and dresses. Some of the stand out pieces of the collection were the totally wearable long sleeved baby-doll mini dresses that bore prints in hues of electric blue, white and glowing green that stood out against the black.

One such dress worn by Siri Tollerød, came in a bright yellow print that was especially striking against her platinum hair and dark lips. I have a feeling this is a collection that many will be taking pointers from come next winter.
